Riverside Rams repeated as NVSHL Champions last night defeating Briar Woods 3-1. Led by All-State goalie Aiden Hopewell, a dominant first line featuring Aidan Darnell, Connor Gnatek, Zach Adra, and a stingy defense headed by Kevin Donnelly, Riverside led start to finish. Zach Adra got Riverside going in the first period as he fired a perfect shot into the top corner. Darnell hit a one timer to go up 2-0 at the end of one. Gnatek scored on a breakaway in the second to put the Rams up by three. Jack Courtney cut the lead to 3-1 early in the third, but Briar Woods just couldn't get the puck by Hopewell who was the number one star of the game. Briar Woods Captain Mikey Winter was outstanding for Briar Woods in a losing effort.
